1. Data controller

2. Hosting & processing location

The marketing website finanz-gym.ai is hosted in the European Union. The Finanz Gym platform runs on Microsoft Azure in the Germany West Central region (Frankfurt am Main). LLM calls are routed through Azure OpenAI in the EU region. All processing of personal data takes place exclusively within the EU, except where expressly stated otherwise below.

3. Server logs (marketing site)

When you visit this website, technically necessary data are logged: truncated IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent, referrer. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in IT security and abuse detection). Retention: 7 days.

4. Demo request

Data submitted via the demo form (name, company, email, phone, message) are processed to handle your request and initiate a business relationship. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measure) or Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. Retention: until your request has been handled, at most 24 months after the last interaction.

5. Tag management & analytics

We use Google Tag Manager (GTM) provided by Google Ireland Ltd. GTM itself only loads a container and does not set tracking cookies. Tags subsequently dispatched by the container (e.g. analytics tools) may process personal data only after your explicit consent via our consent banner (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with §25 (1) TDDDG). Loading the container transmits technical data (IP address, user agent) to Google servers in the EU and the USA; US transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (EU Commission adequacy decision of 10 July 2023).

6. Receipts & bookkeeping data on the platform

Once you use Finanz Gym as a customer, a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) under Art. 28 GDPR additionally applies. We process receipts, bank movements, and bookkeeping data that you upload yourself or that we source from connectors you authorise (PSD2 bank, DATEV, lexware, etc.). Retention per §147 AO (10 years for accounting records, 8 years for commercial correspondence).

7. Tax-advisor hub

If you grant your tax advisor a read-only login, they become an additional processor. You control the permission; the advisor sees only data you have released and has no access to configuration changes or data export.

8. AI providers

Azure OpenAI (EU region) is our primary LLM provider, with Anthropic Claude (EU region) as a complement for specific use cases. Both providers have signed DPAs and do not use API data for training. Personal fields are pseudonymised before LLM calls wherever functionally possible.

9. Cookies

This website sets only technically necessary cookies (e.g. for the language switch). Tracking or analytics cookies are placed only after your consent via the consent banner.

11. Your rights

You have the rights set out in Art. 15 to 22 GDPR — access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection. Consents already given may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. Complaints can be lodged with the competent supervisory authority (Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Postfach 3163, 65021 Wiesbaden, Germany). Note that statutory retention obligations under §147 AO may override your erasure request for accounting data.
